Quod's spring reveal: the lid has been lifted!
Mar 9, 2023Oxford’s bustling High Street refuge, Quod Restaurant & Bar, has recently revealed a couple of improvements that we are delighted to be sharing… one of which, sets the scene to enjoy the soon-to-come spring season.
You may have noticed that towards the end of January, we made a few operational changes; we installed a rather charming Quod kitchen pop-up on our terrace and paused our Set Lunch Menu and pizza offering (now both resumed), making way for our talented maintenance team to undertake a massive Quod kitchen revamp and terrace refurbishment… and… just recently both projects made their debut.
Quod’s Italian garden terrace makes a welcome return to its former glory… roofless and scaffold-free, rewarding us with beautiful aerial views of Old Bank’s yellow-stone walls against vibrant blue skies in the upcoming season.
Replacing the old cover are two large umbrellas that’ll be installed in the next month or two, providing shelter across the terrace when the weather takes a turn and some much-needed shade come summer. We can’t wait!
A fresh sight to match the High Street’s most al fresco spot… Merton College Chapel is now visible in its entirety, adding to our unrivalled views at Quod and the Old Bank. With spring a mere month away, Senior Restaurant Manager Gosia Coloszynska takes part in the excitement as she looks ahead to the terrace being in full bloom:
“It’ll be so good to see that many people out on the terrace again. We put the cover up during covid, so to have it open just in time for spring is such a joy. I’m sure guests will love to see the beautiful view of Merton College Chapel again and will enjoy being under the stars on warm spring evenings.”
With the season’s equinox a week and a half away, here’s a gentle reminder to start making your reservations with us now!
